With many people out of work in a  sluggish economy, the MD of Bonnyville is still hiring.
The MD is seeking summer positions for Campground Caretakers at Pelican Point, Minnie Lake and Crane Lake. The full job description is below:
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Enforcement of M.D. Park regulations and if necessary enlist the assistance of Public Safety
• Caretaker must be available during the day to respond to questions, emergencies as well as to take reservations/bookings
• Preparing campsites for the summer season with the assistance of the Parks staff
• Daily maintenance including garbage collection/removal, grass cutting, checking camp stalls between bookings, coordinating septic pump outs as well as janitorial duties
• It is the responsibility of the caretaker to ensure that adequate supplies are on hand and that Parks is contacted when restocking is required
• Minor repairs to picnic tables and outhouses
• Drop off all cash/cheques every Monday to Community Services office
• Keep organized records of campers for use of statistics and tracking marketing efforts
Qualifications:
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once as well as have the ability to prioritize
• Ability to handle confrontation and diffuse tense situations if necessary
Working Conditions:
• Primarily working outside in varying weather conditions
Physical Requirements:
• Good health, physical stamina and strength
• Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Coordination and manual dexterity
• Physical effort is frequently required in standing, walking, carrying materials weighing up to 15kg
