The Cold Lake RCMP say two people have been injured after a Halloween home invasion. Mounties say at 2 am on October 31st they were called to a home in Cold Lake north after two armed suspects forced their way into the house. A struggle took place with two adult men and mounties say the victims suffered minor injuries. The two men then fled on foot.
28-year-old Joel Thompson was later arrested. He faces a variety of charges including two counts of assault and will see Cold Lake court on November 14th. Police do not believe it was a random attack.
Mounties are continuing their investigation into the identity of the second suspect. Anyone who may have information is asked to call the Cold Lake RCMP at 780-594-3302 or Crime Stoppers.
