Two Arrested in St. Paul Liquor Store Robbery

Two Saddle Lake men have been arrested after robbing a liquor store in St. Paul.

The pair entered the store and tried to steal some liquor off the shelf but left when confronted. A short while they came back, but this time one of them pulled out a knife. The two took several bottles then fled on foot.

Both suspects were located in the area by police and arrested without incident.

Travis Cory Mcgilvery, a 38-year-old from Saddle Lake was charged with:

· Robbery with a weapon
· Disguise with intent to commit an offence
· Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
· Obstruction of a police officer
· Fail to comply with probation order (X2)

Jody Lance Cardinal, a 43-year-old from Saddle Lake was charged with Robbery with a weapon.

Both men were remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on Thursday.

As the matter is now before the courts no further information will be released.
