Kinosoo Ridge Taking Part in World Record Snow Angel Attempt

Kinosoo Ridge is joining ski resorts all over Canada in attempting to break the Guinness World Record for most people making snow angels at the same time.

To celebrate their 75th anniversary, the Canadian Ski Patrol is taking a crack at making the history books on February 4th. Kinosoo participants will start at 11 AM at Kritters Krib. You’ll want to be there at 10:45 though to make sure you’re ready to go for the big moment.

Nobody said it was going to be easy though, as the current record is nothing to sneeze at. The ski patrol will have to get more than 15,851 people working on snow angels at the same time to break the record.

The effort is being held as part of Canadian Ski Patrol Day, a day that honours the life-saving work undertaken by the 4,500 volunteer ski patrollers providing advanced first aid and rescue services at more than 220 ski areas across Canada. Currently, 12 volunteer ski patrollers provide first aid and medical services to skiers and snowboarders at Kinosoo Ridge Ski Resort.

“Volunteer Canadian Ski Patrollers help keep our skiers and boarders safe,” says Manager of Kinosoo Ridge Jurgen Grau. “It’s important for us to take part in Canadian Ski Patrol Day and show our gratitude for these amazing people’s hard work and dedication.”

The Ski patrol made an attempt at the record last year, but fell short with 9,886 participants.
