Lac La Biche County firefighters were honoured in a special recognition ceremony Monday night.
Many members received “Heroes Of The Wildfire” certificates from the Province of Alberta for helping to fight the Fort McMurray wildfire in May. Certain members also received medals for years of service from the provincial and federal governments.
Several notable figures attended the event as well, including Lac La Biche mayor Omer Moghrabi and MP for Fort McMurray-Cold Lake, David Yurdiga.
