Second degree murder charges laid in missing person case

St. Paul RCMP have arrested two people in connection with the death of a man on the Saddle Lake First Nation. Police were called to the reserve around 4 a.m. on November 8th after hearing a man had been shot.

Although 25 year old Robert Stamp’s body has not been found, there was a significant amount of evidence that pointed to foul play. A missing person report was issued later that day and his vehicle was found west of Bruderheim.

26 year olds Jordan Steinhauer and Sara Brertton were arrested on Sunday after what mounties are calling an exhaustive investigation. The Saddle Lake and Edmonton residents are both charged with second degree murder and will appear in court on December 22nd.
