Cooler temperatures have led Alberta Health Services to lift blue-green algae warnings in 14 lakes across the province’s north, including Lac La Biche Lake.
While swimming weather is long past us, warmer than average temperatures look to continue for a while yet, with highs up to 11 degrees. That might be just enough to get the boat our one last time before winter if you’re feeling adventurous.
Alberta Health Services wishes to remind the public that even with the warning lifted, it is never safe to drink straight from any body of water.
