Suspicious Death in Bonnyville

The RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating what they’re calling a suspicious death of an elderly man within the town of Bonnyville.

Bonnyville RCMP arrived at a residence and found the man’s body inside. The man has been identified tentatively but confirmation of his identity, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be made at an autopsy which has been scheduled for tomorrow at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton.

In the meantime, police are requesting that the public be on the lookout for a light green 1974 Dodge D200 pickup truck, which is believed to have belonged to the deceased man and is missing from the driveway. It has a large white and green canopy on the back and bears the Alberta License plate # BES-165

The RCMP is looking for your help to locate this missing vehicle. If you have any information on the vehicle or know of its whereabouts, please call the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment at 780-826-3358.
