Immediately after Kehewin, Alberta Health Services’ Screen Test Program will be setting up a mobile mammography unit at the Saddle Lake Cree Nation the next day on October 6th and 7th.
Screen Test was created with the goal of “improving access to cancer screening for hundreds of women in northern Alberta communities where mammography is not readily available.” A mammogram can detect lumps in breast tissue far earlier and sooner than any human.
