No charges laid after crash involving Peace Officer

No charges have been laid against either party involved in a motor-vehicle collision involving a Cold Lake City Peace Officer. Back at the beginning of July, a northbound SUV on Highway 28, struck the passenger-side of a Peace Officer vehicle as the officer was attempting to turn left onto 69th Avenue.

The traffic lights were fully-functional traffic lights at the intersection at the time of the collision. The officer received minor injuries in the accident, but was quickly released from hospital. After a thorough independent review, undertaken by the St. Paul Crown’s Office, there will be no charges laid upon either driver.
