Lac La Biche Fire Services is having a very busy day today, with two grass fires reported in the area.
The first was a grass fire reported east of highway 36 near the Kikino Metis Settlement. A swath of land was charred before crews were able to put it out, but no infrastructure appears to have been harmed.
Another grass fire was later reported on Township Road 674, west of the Lac La Biche Mission. Reports suggest crews had trouble getting to the blaze, were able to get it under control about half an hour ago.
