The town of Bonnyville is considering what can be done about the flooding issues in the North Point subdivision.
It’s possible that the subdivision’s design was flawed from the get go. The original plans show that the ditches are graded at the bare minimum of 0.1% per 100 feet, likely causing storm water to build up.
Flooding has been an issue in the subdivision for years and the town plans on sending a few engineers over to assess the options. Any solution would be put in place while the town finishes work on 51st avenue.
