The Town of St. Paul has given thanks to its RCMP Detachment. A carving of an RCMP Member was presented to the St. Paul RCMP Detachment at Monday’s regular Council meeting. The carving, which was sculpted by a local artists, is a small token of appreciation the community can share with the officers who have protected the town through thick and thin within the past couple of years. Town of St. Paul Mayor, Glen Anderson, says the Detachment was forced to go above and beyond expectations. Officers fought for their lives in an effort to protect the community during a shootout in May, which injured 3 officers and left 2 others dead, along with another incident that saw a man drive into a local school a few years back.
