Portage College has been given ‘access to the future’. The College received word last week that the Alberta Government has reinstated its Access to the Future Fund, a grant that will give the College $1.8 Million over two years to develop programming. Post-secondary institutions in Alberta have been tremendously enhanced through the Access to the Future Fund in the past. Portage College is seeking to utilize the grant immediately to help further their commitment to bringing new programming to the region. Planning for a new Hairstyling Lab is in the works at the College’s Lac La Biche campus and is hoping to start accepting students as early as September 2015.
