With break-ins being ever prevalent in the area, the Elk Point RCMP are warning residents and businesses to be extra cautious.
Frog Lake has seen several break-ins and a street in Elk Point itself recently saw every unlocked car on it have items stolen from them.
Sargent Barry Larocque has some tips people can use to prevent break-ins. Lock your doors, get a neighbour to watch your house if you’re out-of-town, don’t leave valuable items in the front or back yard and avoid leaving even small amounts of loose change in the cup holder of your vehicle.
Larocque believes the break-ins are more likely caused by a variety of suspects rather than a small group.
