Alleged attempted abduction in Lloydminster sparks RCMP search for suspects

The RCMP in Lloydminster has launched an urgent appeal for public assistance following an alleged attempted abduction incident that occurred on March 24th.  

According to the RCMP report, authorities received a call regarding an attempted abduction in Lloydminster. The incident unfolded when a vehicle, identified as a dark blue 2007-2009 GMC Sierra with an Alberta license plate beginning with ZTE, reportedly followed a woman at a slow pace.

The vehicle carrying two men, allegedly approached the female pedestrian and offered her a ride. Upon her refusal, the vehicle followed her until it eventually stopped. Subsequently, both occupants exited the vehicle and attempted to abduct the female victim forcibly. 

The situation escalated when the victim began screaming and resisting her captors, catching the attention of a witness nearby. This intervention allowed the victim to escape the potentially perilous situation unharmed.

Authorities have provided descriptions of the suspects involved in the incident. The driver of the vehicle is described as a Caucasian male, aged approximately 50-60 years old, with a medium to heavy build, standing between 5’7-5’9 feet tall and clean shaven. The passenger, also a Caucasian male aged 50-60, is described as having a slender build, standing between 5’7-5’9 feet tall, and sporting a shaven appearance with stubble.
