Cold Lake Fighter Jets record improves to 4-0

The Cold Lake Fighter Jets added another win to their pile last weekend over the Edmonton Elite.

The score settled with the Jets’ winning 59-11 over the Elite. This now marks the Jet’s 4th straight win and keeps the team’s undefeated record going. Teague Sherman the Jets’ Administrator among many other things says the game went really well.

“Just like our last games the first half is trying to figure out the opposing team and finding how they want to attack and defend us. Then after the first half we figured them out and the score really changed as we put thirty-plus points on the board.”

Sherman says figuring out the opponent is very important in the game of football.

“If you know what the other teams like to run, it makes it very easy to plan around it and play better.”

This week is a league-wide bye week which means the teams can focus on training and practice with the The Cold Lake team’s next game set against the Aridie Irish on July 8th in Calgary.

Sherman says the team is taking this time to review the last time the teams clashed to correct all mistakes made.
