Cold Lake RCMP continues to investigate a fatal collision that took place on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the collision happened around 12:30 p.m. on Highway 28 at Township Road 624, between a passenger vehicle and Ford F550. A woman was pulled from the vehicle but was declared deceased by EMS on scene.
According to RCMP “Witnesses stated the passenger car was driving erratically, traveling southbound in the northbound lane on Hwy 28, and struck the truck head-on when it turned northbound on Hwy 28 from Township Road 624.”
RCMP, with collision analysts, will continue to investigate the cause of the collision. Police will not be releasing the name of the deceased until the next of kin is notified.
