Mounties are saying a short chase ended with the arrest of three men in connection to a stolen vehicle. St. Paul mounties and members of the Eastern Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit say on December 17th they were in Saddle Lake when a vehicle originally stolen from Lloydminster took off from them at high speeds.
A short chase in St. Paul County ended with mounties popping the tires of the vehicle near Township Road 592. The 45-year-old driver and his 50 and 19-year-old passengers now face a variety of charges including possession of property obtained by a crime. Mounties say the driver was previously wanted in connection to running a chop-shop.
All three have since been released on a bail hearing and will appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on January 10th.
