Driver was double the legal alcohol limit: Bonnyville mounties

Impaired driving has to stop. That’s what the Bonnyville RCMP is saying after catching yet another driver with no business being behind the wheel. Mounties are saying in the early morning hours on November 8th they pulled a vehicle over after getting a few calls about erratic driving. The RCMP is saying a pair of breathalyzer pegged the driver’s blood alcohol level at around 0.16 or twice the legal limit.

Madd Canada says on average in Alberta, one in five drivers involved in fatal crashes has been drinking. The driver will now face a few charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
