The Mayor and Council of Elk Point have approved $9,500 in Funding. Four local non-profit groups and organizations funding requests have been accepted through the Community Enhancement, Arts & Culture Endowment Grant Program.
The Town’s Chief Administrative Officer Ken Gwozdz says the process for selection was hard.
“The Town has a policy in place, that was designed and approved in 2015. This policy was applied to the applications and successful candidates were chosen based on the policy.”
The following grants were approved on Augst 13th:
- Golf & Country Club $6,500
- Ukrainian Dance Club $1,250
- Curling Club $1,000
- Pickleball Club $750
Gwozdz wants to remind applicants to thoroughly read through the policy to ensure vital information is not forgotten when applying.
“A lot of societies are adapting to the policy by providing financials and seeking out other grant funding to match or increase their overall funding.”
The Elk Point grant application deadline is July 16th,2019
