St. Paul survey shows uncertainty when it comes to safety

Survey results from an online questionnaire in St. Paul has council wondering what has to be done to increase the sense of public safety. St. Paul Council addressed the results of the online study in their meeting. 204 people answered a variety of questions about how they feel when it comes to safety and crime in the community.

One question asked “How strongly do you agree that St. Paul is a safe community?” and had the person rank their feeling from zero to ten. 110 answers came back with a score of three or lower, with 16 saying “Not safe”.

Officials from the town are expected to meet with RCMP to discuss initiatives on fighting crime and keeping the community safe.
