DNA leads to suspect: Cold Lake RCMP

Cold Lake mounties are saying they have caught a suspect in a couple of break and enters from the last two years. Overnight on June 10th, 2016, several storage lockers were broken into at the Grandview Village Condos in Cold Lake North. Among the items stolen was some African art valued at $5000. Police say they collected a blood sample from the scene and DNA testing has linked it to a suspect.

A 30 year old Cold Lake resident has been charged in connection with the June 10th incident as well as a break-in and theft of a firearm that occurred on November 23rd, 2017. The suspect is in Cold Lake Provincial Court today.
