The Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre could be seeing more use in the future. The board of directors and town council have been looking at ways to see the facility used by a variety of guests. Bill Rogers is the CAO for the town of Bonnyville, he describes the process.

“We’re looking at opportunities and going through an exercise right now. The board has us looking at how the facility is being used.”

“We’re looking at each individual facility (at the C2), how much usage they’re getting. Then we start looking at possible opportunities to use them more.”

Board members have stated they would like to see the usage of the building increase by 25 percent by 2021. Rogers says another study is being conducted to help that along.

“We’re also doing a separate exercise to see what types of uses and programming that could be added to the facility.”

The assessments will continue until the middle of March.
