Children’s Charity Golf Classic Raises $22k

The Children’s Charity Golf classic had another successful year on the links, raising 22,000 dollars for the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton.

Organizer Mark Reid’s daughter has a rare condition known as Costello Syndrome and is a frequent visitor to the hospital, which was what inspired him to start the tournament up. With about 140 golfers participating this year, the tournament was able to raise slightly more than last year, up from 21,000 dollars in 2016. Having just finished its seventh year, the tourney has raised over 110,000 dollars for the hospital.
