Cold Lake Ice fishing tournament anticipation peaks as anglers gears up for an exciting family day weekend

In a surprising turn of events the upcoming age-friendly fishing tournament at Cold Lake has ignited fervor among fishing enthusiasts and families.

Scheduled over the Family Day weekend, the event garnered unprecedented attention, selling out all tickets within 30 hours. This has heightened the excitement within the community, promising an unforgettable experience for all participants.

The tournament, hosted in on Cold Lake, has set boundaries to ensure fair play. Utilizing the MyCatch mobile app, a property of Anglers Atlas, the tournament will employ modern technology to enhance the fishing experience. Registration for the event is and has been capped at 400 anglers, supporting individual registrations only.

Each contestant must possess a valid Alberta or Saskatchewan fishing license or be exempt from general sportfishing regulations. The fishing window opens at 12:01 am on Friday, February 16, 2024, and concludes at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 18, 2024.
