Lakeland Catholic School Division has announced the results of the election of the LCSD Board Chair and Vice Chair.
Mary Anne Penner will continue to serve the Lakeland Catholic School Division Board of Trustees as Chair, while Anna Brockhoff will step into the role of Vice Chair.
This is Penner’s second consecutive year as chair, but she has over 35 years of experience as a trustee, and 28 years as director of the Cold Lake Public Library.
Throughout her years on the board, Penner has held the position of chair, vice chair, and trustee. She says schools are where the kids learn about compassion, love, trust, and integrity, and she’s proud to be small part in that journey.
“It is truly an honour to serve in the role of chair. I will continue to strive to ensure our board considers what is best for all of our students and staff. I am looking forward to all that we can accomplish in the year ahead.
This will be Brockhoff’s first year serving as vice chair and she is looking forward to expanding her role as a trustee
“I became a trustee because I value the opportunities available to me to be a part of my children’s education and have a voice to advocate for all parents in my area.”
This is Brockhoff’s first term as a trustee after being elected in the 2021 school year.
