The Cold Lake Jets have clinched 1st place and home-field advantage for the playoffs after beating the Central Alberta Buccaneers.
The game’s score settled on 32 -3 with the Jets showing a dominant performance and keeping the team’s home streak alive. This puts the Jets at seed number one and gives the team a bye for the first round of playoffs.
The Jets will play the winner of the semi-final match between The Buccaners and The Elite. The first playoff game for the Jets looks to kick off on August 12th. The bracket was released on the Jet’s Facebook page with finals set for August 19th. Teague Sherman the Jets’ Administrator among many other things says the team is excited for the opportunity to compete.
“We dont want anyone coming here and beating us at home. This is our house and we will protect it. We love the city and the community.”
The Jets final standing sits at 5-1 with the Ardire Irish right behind. Both teams have gotten a bye into the semi-finals.
