The Bonnyville Friendship Center is facing a major challenge ahead of its Community Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. Demand is at an all time high while donations have dropped off considerably.
Tough economic times in the province have left their mark on food bank supplies. Assistant Executive Director Pauline Mawer says the situation is the worst she’s ever seen it. She remains confident that the friendship centre will get by though, noting the community has provided excellent support.
