The MD of Bonnyville says it is moving ahead with a drainage project on the Beaver River. The project will try to help divert water that ends up being put into the river from a nearby settling pond. The flow of water ends up causing erosion on nearby land
A previous attempt to repair the problem failed and Alberta Environment now has an enforcement order in effect. That order means the work will have to be completed by the fall of this year.
Engineering on the project will be done by Wood Environmental and Infrastructure Solutions.
