The death of a cow on an MD of Bonnyville farm is being investigated by Alberta SPCA. Safety officials with the MD say earlier in the month of May they were alerted to a cow carcass decomposing by a concerned resident. After speaking with the landowner on the reasons for the cow’s death, officials decided to initiate an investigation.
The Alberta SPCA has taken over the case. They are now trying to determine the cause of the animal’s death and charges could be laid if the owner is found to have been negligent.
The location of the farm has not been released.
