Greg Sawchuk was among the guests at a crime forum held at the Lakeland Inn in Cold Lake this past Thursday. The Reeve of the MD of Bonnyville was on hand to talk with concerned residents about policing in the area and give an update on some new ways the MD is combating crime, including the hiring of a new peace officer.
Reeve Sawchuk says the MD has been supporting Rural Crime Watch groups with equipment and also addressed the issue of not reporting crimes. He says under no circumstances should the public take the law into their own hands.
