Environment Canada is warning that winter weather is returning to the Lakeland region, bringing snow and winter road conditions from tonight till Friday as a storm brings heavy wet snow to the area.
Snow will begin this evening over parts of western Alberta, becoming heavier throughout Thursday. The heaviest snowfall is expected to stay south of Grand Prairie, Slake Lake and the Lakeland area, but these areas could still see between five and 10 cm of snow.
“There is still uncertainty in the exact track of the storm, so warnings may be adjusted as the event unfolds,” reads the alert from Environment Canada.
Drivers should be prepared for winter conditions and check for updates.
