The bail hearing for a St. Paul RCMP officer facing child exploitation charges has been adjourned until July 9. Constable Evan Peacock, 33, was arrested following an investigation by ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit.
Peacock was initially charged in April 2024 with two counts each of possessing, distributing, and accessing child pornography. Following these charges, he was released under order conditions and suspended with pay.
In June 2024, the Alberta RCMP’s Eastern Alberta District General Investigation Section launched another investigation into Peacock for allegedly soliciting sex with underage females online. This investigation led to additional charges of child luring and failing to comply with released conditions from the April case. Peacock was subsequently remanded into custody.
Peacock remains suspended with pay as the legal proceedings continue.
