St. Paul RCMP have charged one man after a break and enter at the Alberta Health Services Community Health building earlier this month.
Officers were called to the scene on October 5, where several electronic devices were reported stolen. “Through intelligence gathering, RCMP members were able to identify the individuals responsible for the break and enter and theft of electronics,” reads the RCMP release.
A 36-year-old Saddle Lake resident has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime less than or equal to $5,000, mischief over $5,000 for damage to property, failing to comply with a probation order, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The suspect was remanded into custody following a judicial hearing and is scheduled to appear in court on October 16.
“RCMP have since recovered half of the stolen items and have returned them to AHS staff members, who have expressed their gratitude. AHS IT staff have remotely wiped and secured any data that was on the items that were stolen.”
