A 61-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle collision on Township Road 460 north of La Corey on the evening of January 9.
Bonnyville RCMP responded to the incident at 10:21 p.m. Upon arrival, one occupant, a resident of Bonnyville, was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other individuals in the vehicle were transported to the hospital with injuries, according to an RCMP media release.
“The RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene, and the road was closed for several hours. Preliminary investigation suggests that impairment was a factor,” stated the release.
The identity of the victim has not been released and RCMP have expressed condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
