The Municipal District of Bonnyville council is pleased to announce that Ben Berlinguette has been named the new Chief Administrative Officer.
With over 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, Berlinguette brings expertise and a deep commitment to community development.
Originally from just outside St. Paul, Berlinguette has a background in Civil Engineering Technology from NAIT and holds certifications in Local Government Management, Project Management, and Incident Command Systems. His career includes leadership roles in municipalities such as Thorhild County, Foothills County, the town of Valleyview, and the city of Edmonton.
Alongside his professional accomplishments, he has contributed to various industries, including oil and gas, transportation and environmental services. He was also served as a volunteer on numerous boards and committees, earning recognition for his services.
As CAO, Berlinguette will focus on responsible growth and sustainability for the M.D., capitalizing on his experience in managing large budgets and leading diverse teams. His approach emphasizes strong governance and effective communication, ensuring the municipality continues to do well for residents and businesses.

Berlinguette will officially begin his role as CAO on February 3, 2025.
