A 37-year-old man from Goodfish Lake has been charged following a violent incident that left two people injured.
On December 12, around 1:00 a.m., St. Paul RCMP responded to a report of an aggravated assault at a residence in Goodfish Lake. Upon arrival, officers found one male victim who had been stabbed and a female victim with severe slashing injuries.
The suspect, identified as Mitchell Randall Francis Houle, was located at the scene and arrested by police.
Houle faces multiple charges, including, two counts of assault with a weapon, resisting/obstructing a peace officer, failing to comply with a release order condition, and assaulting a police officer.
Houle has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in the St. Paul Court of Justice on January 20, 2025.
