A Bonnyville man was remanded into custody following an incident where the victim was allegedly struck by a shovel in Bonnyville.
On November 23, Bonnyville RCMP received a report of an assault with a shovel around 5:00 p.m. According to information from RCMP, upon arrival they determined, “the victim was out on the sidewalk by his residence and the suspect role by on his bicycle, and the shovel he was carrying struck the victim.”
49-year-old Shane Leguerrier, of Bonnyville, was arrested the next day and has been charged with assault with a weapon and three counts of failing to comply under an undertaking from a previous incident.
Leguerrier was remanded into custody and is set to appear in court on December 3.
