City of Cold Lake adjusts operations amid Canada Post labor disruption

In response to the ongoing labor disruption at Canada Post, the city of Cold Lake is implementing measures to ensure businesses and residents can continue to receive payments and essential communications without delay.

For those expecting cheques from the city, residents and businesses are encouraged to contact city hall to verify is their cheque is ready. Once confirmed, arrangements can be made for in-person pickup. A government issued ID will be required to collect cheques.

To check the status of the cheque, contact city hall at (780) 594-4494 or by email at [email protected].

The city stated they appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as it works to mitigate any disruptions caused by the postal labor dispute.

Other mailings, including utility bills, will continue to be sent through Canada Post as usual. However, residents are encouraged to consider alternative options.

Residents can register for electronic billing to receive utility bills via email, or to simplify payments by signing up for automatic withdrawals.

For assistance with utility accounts or to learn more about e-billing you can contact city hall by phone or email at [email protected] or visit the city of Cold Lakes website.
