Cold Lake’s’ Lakeshore Drive is set to reopen for vehicle traffic on November 8. The road has been redesigned for one-way traffic, beginning at the Marina (Clarks General Store), heading north around 2 Avenue, and ending at 10 Street.
Mayor Craig Copeland expressed satisfaction with the progress, noting the project’s significance for Cold Lake. “This has been a huge undertaking,” said Copeland. “Although there is still quite a bit of work to be done, it will be nice to open up the road again.”
Although the road itself will be open, the sidewalk along the lakeside will remain closed as construction work continues on those areas. Residents along Lakeshore Drive will receive letters by mail with more information regarding waste collection, snow removal and other popular questions.
