On October 26, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Bonnyville RCMP responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle repeatedly moving and stopping within a local trailer park. Â
Officers conducted a roadside check on the vehicle, where it was determined that the driver held an expired license, and the vehicle lacked registration and insurance. Â
A background check on the car’s occupants revealed that one passenger, 20-year-old Elijah Auigbelle, was under house arrest as part of conditions from an ongoing attempted murder investigation led by Boyle RCMP. Auigbelle was also prohibited from having contact with the driver.Â
Auigbelle was immediately taken into custody and faces two charges of failing to comply with his release conditions. He was remanded into custody following a bail hearing and is scheduled for his first court appearance on November 12. The vehicle was towed, and multiple traffic tickets were issued to the driver.Â
