21-year-old woman charged after bear spray assault in St. Paul

On October 19, just before 2:30 p.m., St. Paul RCMP responded to a report of an assault with a weapon at a business near 52 Street and 50 Avenue. 

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a male victim had been bear sprayed.  

The suspect, identified as Samara Maria Jackson, 21, of Saddle Lake, was quickly located and taken into custody. Jackson faces several charges, including assault with a weapon, theft under $5,000, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.  

Jackson was released on conditions and was scheduled to appear in St. Paul court on October 24.
