Residents of Cold Lake and the surrounding Lakeland community are being advised of upcoming night flying training exercises conducted by squadrons from 4 Wing Cold Lake.
The training will take place from October 15 to the 25, with crews aiming to minimize disruptions to local residents.
In a statement, 4 Wing Cold Lake reassured the community, “This type of training is not intended to disrupt your valuable peach and quiet.” They further emphasized the importance of the exercises, noting “Night flying is an essential training requirement for aircrew and ground crew. The ability to conduct night missions is vital to our operational capacity.”
The exercises are part of routine training operations aimed at maintaining the readiness and operational capabilities of the aircrew.
