The annual Terry Fox Run, a cherished community event supporting cancer research, is set to take place on Sunday, September 15 at the Cold Lake Energy Centre. Â
Participants are invited to join together for a 5 km walk, with registration beginning at 9 a.m. and the run officially starting at 10 a.m.Â
The route will start at the Energy Centre, continue towards 75 Avenue, look back to 16 Avenue, and end where it began. This family-friendly event, organized by the City of Cold Lake, is open to all, regardless of how they choose to participate, whether by walking, running, skating, using a wheelchair, or bringing a dog on a leash. Â
Donations can be made online at Terry Fox Run website or in person at the Cold Lake Energy Centre before the event. The city of Cold Lake has already surpassed its fundraising goal of $5,6000, underscoring the significant impact these efforts have on cancer patients and their families in the community. Â
