On the morning of July 13, at approximately 7:20 a.m., the Bonnyville RCMP were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and a semi-truck on Highway 55 in the Iron River area. Â
Upon arrival, officers discovered that the 2018 Dodge Ram pickup truck involved in the collision had been reported stolen to the Wainwright RCMP on July 11. The female driver, the lone occupant of the vehicle, had fled the scene on foot.Â
After conducting patrols in the area, police located and arrested the driver, identified as 37-year-old Robin Kelly Tizzard of Bonnyville, without incident. Â
Tizzard has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of failure to comply with conditions of a release order, possession of methamphetamine, operating an uninsured motor vehicle on a highway, and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.Â
Following her arrest, Tizzard was held for a Judicial Interim Release Hearing and was released on a no-cash deposit Release Order with conditions. Her next court appearance is scheduled for August 6, in Bonnyville Provincial Court.
