On May 15, in the course of ongoing property crime investigations, Elk Point RCMP, with support from Bonnyville RCMP, the Eastern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit, RCMP Police Dog Services, and K Division Auto Theft Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in the County of St. Paul. The operation resulted in the recovery of allegedly stolen property valued at approximately $150,000, including an all-terrain vehicle, a utility terrain vehicle, vertical tillage equipment, and a tractor. Â
As a result of the investigation, 46-year-old Leslie Alan Hillebrand, a resident of the County of St. Paul, has been charged with multiple offences, including four counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of a weapon contrary to order, possession of suspected methamphetamine, and altering a vehicle identification number. Â
Following a judicial interim release hearing, Hillebrand was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 23 at the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Paul.Â
