Lakeland Crime Reduction Unit apprehends fugitive wanted across Canada

In a successful operation, the Lakeland Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) in collaboration with Cold Lake RCMP and Bonnyville RCMP apprehended a fugitive wanted on a Canada-Wide Warrant. The suspect, Cody White, 37, was captured on March 10th, following a tip-off received by the CRU regarding his presence in the Cold Lake area. 

Utilizing Police Dog Services and the joint efforts of law enforcement agencies, White was swiftly detained without any incident. The arrest was executed smoothly, ensuring public safety.  

White faces a litany of charges, including resisting and obstructing a peace officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime less than or equal to $5,000, operating a motor vehicle while prohibited and fleeing from a peace officer.  

After being brought before a Justice of the Peace, White was remanded into custody pending further legal proceedings. He is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake on May 22.
