On April 17th, at approximately 3:32 PM, the RCMP swiftly responded to a concerning report in St. Paul. Authorities were alerted to an intoxicated male wielding a knife and walking amidst traffic, menacing motorists near Racette School on Main Street.
The RCMP’s prompt response led to the location and subsequent arrest of the individual without any untoward incident. The apprehension occurred on 45th Street, along the eastern perimeter of the Elementary School playground.
Sergeant Bobby Burgess, the NCO of the St. Paul RCMP Detachment, addressed the incident, stating, “Due to charges not being sworn at this time, all I can tell you is a 24-year-old St. Paul man will be charged with several weapons offences.”
Following the arrest, the male suspect was transported to the St. Paul Detachment, where he is currently awaiting a Judicial Interim Release Hearing.
