At 5:16 PM on January 30, Cold Lake RCMP received reports of a single-vehicle collision on Highway 28 entering Cold Lake.
Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered a single vehicle with one unresponsive male occupant. Despite efforts to save his life, the 47-year-old Cold Lake resident was pronounced deceased.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the deceased experienced a major health event, leading to the collision.
The Alberta RCMP extend their deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult time.
